The Week in VDM Posts: The Weekend Post #78: A Five Minute Fix // On the Makeup Menu Today… // The ‘Meh’ Edit // If Filofax Did Makeup Bags… // The Luggable lacquer Freebie // Sheer & Sheeny // Mark Does Makeup // Cheek Cello Shots // Recommendations at the Ready… // Square or Almond?

Product Pick of the Week: Essie Nail Polish in Sunday Funday – and I promise it has nothing to do with the name. Equal measures of pink and coral are making this my lacquer love of the moment, and the fact that it’s subtly flecked with golden glitters that only reveal themselves in direct sunlight – well I’m sold. I grabbed this as part of a three piece summer collection set that is currently barging its way to the top of my ‘write about me now‘ pile. Post on its way.

Blog Post of the Week: For anyone who talks the camera talk but cannot walk the camera walk *raises hand*, then The Beauty Department’s ‘Tricks of the Trade’ post will have you knowing your ISO from your aperture in one easy to digest read, complete with heart shaped annotations and hair-do analogies. Now you’re talking my language.

Must-Watch of the Week: Bit of a humble brag here, but seeing as I threw out a midweek video and it included my boyfriend I thought I’d give a nod to my ‘Boyfriend Does My Makeup’ offering. And my ol’ fave Lisa Eldridge uploaded a gawjus look ‘Wedding/Prom/Occasion Makeup Tutorial’ that I shall definitely try to cack-handedly recreate.

Added to the Wishlist: I was in the makeup chair this week for a little project I was working and got spruced up by a lovely lady who reignited my fire for YSL’s Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, and added the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to my shopping list. The two worked effortless with each other, and that handy little brush also did a good job of contour, blush and highlight. For days when I fancy going fingertip free – I NEED.
