Two New ‘One Wash Wonders’ From Urban Decay

Rewind two years on the clock and round these parts you’d find beauty posts from a girl who wore way too much foundation, looked a little orange, caked on a load of mascara and never wore eyeshadow. Fast forward back to the current day and though I may not cake on the tangerine-tinged bases like I used to, I still do love a good layer (or seven) of mascara and actually I find myself wearing eyeshadow, or at least a liner smudged into my lashline, on most occasions when I’m wearing makeup. I’m a changed woman peeps. Now that doesn’t mean I like to blend in a tonne of tones and finishes on my lids. I’m still the biggest fan of ‘One Wash Wonders‘; colours that you can brush on without too much technique involved that look good all over and up into the crease. Previous favourites include MAC’s Soba and Sable and Burberry’s Sheer Eyeshadow in Pale Barley, but now there are two new ones from Urban Decay that have made O.W.W status…

We’re all fans of the U.D eyeshadow formula from their various palettes, but I don’t think I’ve ever given much love to their singles. Well that’s all about to change, because two new recent additions to their line are amazeballs (please excuse their shabby appearance because I de-potted mine and threw ’em in my Z-Palette). Beware is what I’m wearing above. It’s a warm, matte, mid-tone brown that reminds me of the colour of hot chocolate. The pigment is insane and it blends easily. A slightly more daring choice and one that it’s worth piling on a bit of concealer under your eyes before application to balance out any redness is the shade Riff. A little more orangey, there’s a touch of golden shimmer in it which is actually what makes this colour work. Just pair with a tonne of mascara (don’t I always?).

O.W.W’s F.T.W.
