You lot remember my post last week about Covent Garden’s After Hours? Covent Garden’s extended opening hour extravaganza from Wednesdays through Saturdays during the month of July. The event is being held across many of the stores across Covent Garden, but being the makeup magpie that I am it’s the events in the Beauty Quarter that have got me feeling spendy. Each Thursday evening the likes of NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay, CHANEL and many more will be putting on something special from mini makeovers and complimentary Prosecco at Charlotte Tilbury to pretty hefty goodie bags at Urban Decay.

I had a tour of the Beauty Quarter a couple of weeks ago and it got me thinking about all-time favourite picks, so as the second part of my collaboration with Covent Garden I thought I’d put together my ultimate shopping list (a.k.a – the never-ending list that could easily have gone on forever):

CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation – Foundations come and go in and out of my collection, but there is always, always a bottle of this in there somewhere, because nothing does a natural, skin-like finish quite like it.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer – Dark circles? Brightened. Blemishes? Sorted. Weird scars because I’m horrible at picking spots? Gone.

NARS Illuminator in 413 BKLR – This is the kind of illuminator that you apply on your cheekbones and then decide that you just want to bathe your whole body in it. A subtle shimmer that gives serious glow.

Clinique Cheek Pop in Melon Pop – I call this my ‘healthy‘ blusher. I apply it whenever I look tired and grey. It’s basically the colour I wish my cheeks would go when I exercise instead of the burnt beetroot shade they go.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadow in BetteAh common’ – you knew that this would be here! Whenever I want to look all smokey and bronzey in the eye department, this is what I reach for.

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Tan Lines – This is a little less shimmer-heavy and a bit richer and deeper in colour than the above, but it looks great blended out on the upper and lower lash lines for more of an evening look.

DIOR DIORSHOW Iconic Overcurl Waterproof Mascara – One of my all-time favourite mascaras. It’s gives enough volume without looking too heavy and holds a curl. You know that’s always a plus in my books.

Clinique Lip Pop in Melon Pop – If you’re into peachy pink lipsticks then you need this in your life. Along with the matching blusher, of course…

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Super Cindy & Liv It Up – I already mentioned Liv It Up in Monday’s post and let me tell you that you’ll be seeing a lot of Super Cindy too. Creamy and pigmented, but shine-free.

CHANEL Le Vernis Nail Colour in EspadrillesThe summer nail colour. It’s limited edition, but if there’s anywhere to hunt down this neon orange-based red then it’s got to be the flagship UK store.
