Tasty Balls & Contour Kits

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. Another Contour Kit. In another episode of ‘Things I really don’t need and will probably never find the time to use, but really, really want’ we have the Anastasia Pro Series Cream Contour Kit. It flits in and out of stock, so I’m yet to get my hands on one yet, but doesn’t it look pretty? The reviews say it’s a little drier than other cream formula kits out there, so perhaps one for oilier gals to grab. Who knows? I’m just trying to ride out this wanting wave, until another palette comes along.

2. Laura Mercier Amp Up The Glow. Have you seen Laura Mercier’s Face Illuminator in Indiscretion? I think it’s part of their SS15 range and let me tell you, it’s a beaut. The packaging in a little clunky and I wouldn’t say the texture is the smoothest, but when swatched it gives off this amber glow that looks good on the lids, or on the cheeks with a bit of a tan. I can see this being a bit of a summer staple round here.

3. Tasty Balls That Look Gross But Taste Lovely. I’ve been experimenting with recipes to find a dish that immediately satisfies my sweet tooth but isn’t a Cadbury’s Cream Egg and I think I’ve found it in the form of these, not particularly appetising, but really tasty Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls. I’ll post a recipe later this week.

4. My New Bag. So you know in my handbag collection video where I say that I’m really happy with my current bag family and I don’t think I’ll be adding to the group anytime soon. Well… say hello to the Aspinal of London Mini Shoulder Buckle Bag. It’s small but perfectly formed and the perfect weekend/’I don’t want to carry around the kitchen sink’ bag. Again, let’s have a chat about it next week.

5. Bourjois’ New Lacquers. So Bourjois have some new nail polishes on the block called La Laque. It’s all very swanky and Nails Inc-y looking and two of the shades in particular are really floating my boat. A straight-up white, White Spirit (which I never thought I’d be in to) and Ni Vemis Bleu. The formula of them is so ridiculously opaque it’s unreal. Full review coming soon.
