Leopard Print Love & The Perfect Powder Brush

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. Leopard Print Kicks. Completely not beauty related, but I just thought I’d share that I have been getting a tonne of wear from my Kurt Geiger Leopard Print Slip-Ons (not the same link, but they’re similar) recently. I’m usually a boots or sandals kinda gal, so these are a bit of a weird one for me but they’re super comfortable and look chicly casual with rolled up jeans. Heck – I’ve even worn them with a dress. What’s happening to me?

2. My Favourite Magazine Read. I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve scaled back my magazine consumption to one a month (with the odd pick-up of Allure of course, if I can find it). My sole read is Women’s Health and I love it. It might seem like an odd choice for a beauty lover, but it covers makeup, has Bobbi Brown as a columnist, obviously features health and food highly and makes for a magazine that I read every single page of.

3. Playing with Makeup. I think my recent re-watching of RuPaul’s Drag Race has something to do with this, but recently I’ve been attempting makeup techniques and combinations that I’ve never given a go before. The other day I even contemplated purchasing a blue eyeshadow. Blue eyeshadow? I know. I pussied out in the end, but I’m enjoying this little reinvigoration I’m having with all things makeup.

4. I’m Back on the Tan. Being a little bit tanned, not a lot, just a little is something that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Sad, but true. I need a little pick me up the other day, so used the St Tropez Express Tan that’s made to be left on the skin for just three hours, before I went to bed. REBEL. I woke up feeling all bronzey and glowy and five days later it’s still hanging around. Gawd I love that stuff.

5. The Perfect Powder Brush. I don’t want to ruin the surprise here as there’s a whole 500 word long rave coming up about this brush late next week, but let me just say that the Real Techniques Setting Brush is ah-mazing. More ravey sentences like that to follow…
