Brush Laundry & NARS Do Glitter

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. How I Wash My Brushes. When I posted a picture last week of my freshly washed brushes, I spotted a few queries as to how I give them a rinse and let me tell you it’s easy peasy. I actually did a video on the three methods I use here, though I do love giving them a deep clean and nothing makes them come up as soft and fluffy the next day. It’s always a bit of a drag, but the following morning it feels so darn good.

2. Reiss Are Bringing It. Whilse searching for my bridesmaid dress for my sister’s wedding, I did some digging in Reiss and though I didn’t find a dress for that occasion I did find some other swoon-worthy pieces. I’m currently mulling over a purchase of this Lazer Cut Dress or this Playsuit and this gorgeous Jacket, but in black or white? That is the question.

3. Mark’s Feeling Bleu. Mark has become a bit of a fragrance hoarder in recent times and right now he spritzes CHANEL Bleu de CHANEL about 25 times every morning leaving a fug of EDT hanging over the bedroom. But do you know what? I’m not complaining, because it smells absolutely delicious. It’s my favourite one that he wears, so much so that I must admit to using it myself a few times. Shhhh.

4. NARS Do Glitter. I can’t say that I’m the biggest lover of glitter, nor all things pink, but this collaboration between NARS and Christopher Kane, due to be launched over here come May does look rather beautiful. I reckon the the Outer Limits Eyeshadow will be the star of the show. Just look at that rose gold gorgeousness.

5. The Wet Brush Trio. This brush and a tail comb that I use for my parting, are now the only brushes that I own, so if I didn’t already have one I would be well into this trio. It even comes with a little diddy Wet Brush which I must admit I already have and carry around in my bag – so maybe I was telling a little porkie earlier…
