A Week in Outfits

From lounging to London…

It has been yonks since I put together one of these videos (see my last on here), mainly because it’s a faff to keep my camera out on my tripod in the kitchen for a week. I end up stubbing my toe on it after it’s been there for a day or two and cursing its existance as I rub off chilli that flicked up onto the lens during cooking. Kitchens aren’t the best homes for cameras, it turns out. So this time round with help from Lauren, I managed to film a week in outfits video in more of a lookbook style, with no kitchen cutaways for once.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to get round to filming a full autumn capsule wardrobe video, but really this includes a large proportion of the items anyway. You lot know me. There’s some serious lounging outfits in here from days when I’ve been working from home and just need to be comfortable and then there’s more dressy ensembles from when I’ve had to travel up to London for meetings or Mark and I have headed out after work for food (read: burgers – the new Five Guys at Brighton Marina is everything).

It would be tough to pick my favourite, favourite item from my newly cleared out wardrobe, but I think it would have to be the Whistles Belmont Leopard Chelsea Boots that I picked up when they had a 25% off code going around. Pointed toe? Check. Low heel? Check. Crazy print that Pat Butcher would love? Check. I do love a bit of a wild patterned boot and these are exactly what I’ve been looking for for the last couple of years. They’re also comfortable and just make me feel a little less bad for wearing all-black outfits around 95% of the time. Oh yes – it’s a riveting video…
