Tips, Tarte and ItaTube

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1) MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural. Back in the day this powder was my daily jam. I loved this stuff. It’s been a while but recently I remembered why though I may not be powders biggest fan, this one ticks all the right boxes. Never cakey with the lightest dose of coverage, it just finishes off things nicely – especially when there’s a long day or filming on the cards. I’ve always got this nearby whenever I’m doing a video to stop the dreaded sweaty cheek look. Noice.

2) Wayne’s Foundation Tip. Speaking of powder, I’ve been giving the Wayne Goss way of applying it a go – I won’t ruin the video for you – but seriously, it works.

3) NARS’ Contour Duos. Well don’t these look lovely? Though my Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting and Celestial Powder have somewhat chiselled cheekbones covered, a girl can never have too many choices right? And all ready to go in one handy palette? I’m liking the fact that they seem to have a duo for every skin tone lined up here and when they make an appearance on these shores sometime this month I’ll be first in line.

4) Totally Addicted to Bases from Tarte. They’re hyped and rightly so. From the more matte and good coverage, but not heavily so, Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation, to the just the right dose of flawlessness BB Tinted Treatment – they’re all awesome. I’m even warming up to the powder based Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation and I promise it has nothing to do with the really snazzy packaging (open it up and you’ll see what I mean – and yes I just said snazzy).

5) Milan and ITATube. So come the end of the month I’ll be heading off Milan to the first ever ITATube YouTube convention with Lily. It’s a bit of a last minute decision that was somewhat encouraged by the promise of beautiful views and ah-mazing food, so feel free to swing any Milan based recommendations our way. Anyone fancy grabbing a coffee with us while we’re over there?
