I saw a TikTok recently that I wholeheartedly agree with. It said that if you’re looking for high-quality workwear that feels like basics with a twist, then Sézane is exactly that. They do tailoring so well, their matching suits come in an array of colours from your blacks to your cornflower blues, their dress section has everything from floaty flared styles to fitted numbers that are office ready and never sleep on their trousers – especially if you’re on the tall side like me. Of course when I talk about workwear, it’s been a long while since I’ve worked in an office myself and I only ever worked in offices where things were more on the smart-casual – emphasis on the casual – side of things, but I’ve put together some outfit formulas from Sezane that I feel are ‘back to the office‘ appropriate…

THE SUIT

As pictured in this post, this suit called out to me immediately. The Michele Jacket in Natural Stripe, with the matching Rodriguo Trousers. Great as a combo for the office, but will look equally great when worn separately for a more casual look. Imagine the trousers with a cream tank and sandals for summer?! Lush. I’ve worn the suit with my Juan T-Shirt underneath, but any plain tee would do, and I’ve gone for the Naomi Loafers in Smooth Natural, because I’m a sucker for a woven shoe and finished it off with my Milo Classic Bag in Natural Heritage Leather which I am LOVING in my wardrobe right now.

A SLEEK BLACK NUMBER

Sézane do matching sets SO well and I love the look of the Mattia Skirt – a mesh midi skirt – with the Elio Sweater – a short sleeve round-neck jumper. The Le Cabas Bag in Ecru Canvas looks like a huge ‘throw everything in, including your laptop‘ workbag, and the Phoebe Mid Boots in Beige are smart enough for the office, but comfy enough for the commute.

THE KNITTED SET

I had to throw another matching set in there, because I just think this one is stunning. The Naelle Skirt with the Sami Jumper, both available in natural or navy and made from a cotton/merino wool blend. I’m always here for something with an elasticated waistband too so count me in. Sezane always make me want to invest in a pair of clogs, and I feel like this set would look fab with the Isabelle Clogs in Smooth Caramel and let’s not forget a bag – I’m thinking the Milo Classic Bag in Natural Heritage Leather.

HEAD-TO-TOE CREAM

You know I love a head to toe cream outfit – there’s nothing chicer. So I’d pair up the button-up collar Darius Sweater, with the Dan Trousers – a mid-rise, straight leg wide cut trouser. The latter features a tortoiseshell button that will go nicely with the Alice Heel Pumps in Hazelnut, and the Mini Milo Classique Bag in Smooth Honey is the perfect finishing touch.

THE DRESS

I feel like the Pippa Dress has something for everyone. I’m really loving the silhouette of a long dress with short-sleeves – great as we transition into spring – and this one has a flattering waist tie too. Where it caters for all tastes is in it’s colour selection, of course I love the black, but it’s also available in green, blue, violet, zebra print and a graphic multicolour print too. See? Whatever you fancy. I’d go full-on matchy matchy with this and wear it with the Milo Classic Bag in Khaki Python Print and the André Loafers in the same print.
