The Weekly Facial

You ladies (and the odd guy that reads my blog), know that I like to indulge over the weekends in a spot of pampering. This without a doubt includes a luxurious oil bath, a mini manicure, a touch of tanning and probably my most favourite element – my weekly facial. This will always include a through double cleanse with my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (I have now gone through about 6 bottles of this), a tone with my Liz Earle Skin Boost Tonic and a slathering of my Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate to finish off. However, elements such as face masks and exfoliators do tend to vary, and this week I used 2 skincare items that I recently received in my GlossyBox!
Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant & Power Recovery Masque

My go-to exfoliator and face mask are from Liz Earle (you sense a pattern here – Gentle Face Exfoliator and Skin Brightening mask if you were wondering), so I was sceptical to give them go, but after hearing so much and such good things about Dermalogica products I dived straight in! After my usual cleansing routine, I applied a 50p size about of the Multivitamin Thermafoliant to my face – directions said you could use it on wet or dry skin, but used on dry skin it give a more effective result. Being the rebel that I am I applied it to dry skin and wow, this stuff really works! It is much harsher than what I usually use, so I think it’s something I would use on the rare occasion when my skin was looking absolutely horrendous, but there is no denying how amazing my face felt afterwards! So clean and refreshed, and ridiculously smooth. After rinsing that off and drying my face I then moved on to sample 2 – the Power Recovery Masque. Now I will admit when this came out of the tube it didn’t look too appealing, rather thick and a bright yellow mustard colour. And after I applied it to my face it got worse as this bread-roll, yeast-like pong kicked in. However after a 15 min chill in the bath with it on I washed it off and my skin felt really moisturised. It is definitely one of those masks that feels replenishing and gives a bit of TLC to the skin. I finished off with a splash of my Liz Earle Skin Boost Tonic and a healthy dose of Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate, leaving my face feeling positively pampered.
Overall I was really impressed with these 2 samples, and in fact the rest of the contents of my GlossyBox this month. I won’t bore you with the contents as I am sure you have seen that plastered over 100’s of blogs, but I have been using all the samples included. I think people seem to think that all these Beauty Boxes on the market have to be pitted against each other, but helping out behind the scenes at Boudoir Privé and being a subscriber of Glossybox I can safely say that a girl can never have too many Beauty Boxes 😉
Much Love,
Vivianna x
