The UK-Available Version of Tarte’s Tipsy Blush

IMG_2028 IMG_2030 Tarte & Bobbi Brown

There is one blush that whenever I wear I’m guaranteed someone will pick up on it and throw a compliment my way. Sounds like I’m being a Bobby Big Head there, but there’s just something about it that other gals always notice. It’s not in yer face or attention-grabbing in texture, it’s just the shade makes me look… healthy. Perkier, if you will. The compact I’m rambling on about is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy, which is no stranger to being the subject of my raves.

I must have had this in my collection for two years now and it still looks like I haven’t even touched it; it only needs one quick dab to dose up on the correct amount of pigment for two cheeks worth. It’s all kinds of amazing. The colour, texture, longevity. I’m tempted to say it’s amazeballs, but I won’t. Awesome. It’s just awesome. The only problem is that it’s a bit of a toughie to find on these shores. Sure, Sephora shipping has made the whole process easier, but it’s still a bit of a ballache (what is with me today?), with no bricks and mortar location to swatch, test and purchase at. So I’ve been on the lookout for a dupe and though it feels like forever since I started my search, I’ve finally found it…

It comes in the form of Bobbi Brown’s Blush in Pink Coral (which I have a feeling is a limited edition shade so run Forest, run). In the pan you’re probably doubting me, right? Pink Coral looks way more pink and Tipsy is leaning rather orange, but on the cheeks something magical happens and I truly can’t tell the two apart. I think I’m wearing Tipsy in the left picture and Pink Coral on the right, or could it be the left? I honestly I have no idea. Identical. The texture is the same too – shimmer free and holds its own throughout the day – in fact I think I may have been converted to Bobbi’s blushes. Anyone have any colour recs?

I own two Tarte blushes and love them. They have such a lovely formula and are so pigmented, amazing! I’ll have to give the Bobbi Brown offering a swatch as I don’t have Tarte Tipsy x

  • Dee

  • You look so pretty in the pictures.. forget the blushes I want to know whats on your lips!! 😀

  • Bella

You look so pretty in these pinks, Anna! But how bizarre, Pink Coral goes pretty coral on me, not as pink as it does on you. I love it too though and am actually wearing it today.

  • That’s such a beautiful colour!! Love it!

Oh I got so excited when I saw this post, I wanted tipsy so badly but didn’t want to pay so much on the sephora website, but I can’t find the bobbi brown pink coral blush anywhere online? It’s out of stock on debenhams website, I really hope it isn’t limited edition :(! xxx

  • I’m seriously eyeing the Tarte one 🙂 x

  • Stephanie

Your lip colour is beautiful, can you let us know what it is?

  • Meghan

I think I need to pick up a Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush. I have one of their cheek stains but surprisingly don’t own any of their clay blushes.
    Great post!

  • Gorgeous colours! x

  • Allyson Lyn

These look really nice! I really want to try a tarte blush but it’s good to know I may be able to get a dupe at least!

  • Smecksie

The one on the left looks a bit more orange, and the right one a bit more pink. To me, at least. However extremely similar 🙂

  • Ellen Findley

The oldest item in my collection is a Bobbi Brown blush in Desert Pink.

    Bobbi is the bomb.

  • What a good dupe! And it’s far less pricey than the Tarte one too. Although there is something rather lovely about the packaging for the Tarte blusher. Decisions decisions!

  • You always look so pretty Anna! I really want to try some more Bobbi Brown products 🙂

They’re both so beautiful! As an American, now I don’t know which to choose!

  • Unfortunately it isn’t available either – it was limited edition and sold out everywhere a few months ago! xx

  • Abby Evans

I love Tipsy, as it is perfect the perfect shade for summer. I have heard great things about Bobbi Brown’s Apricot and now, after hearing about Pink Coral, I think I may have to pick myself up a shade. Thanks, great post!

  • Hazelnutoliveoil

Funnily enough I bought tipsy here on ebay and it arrived just before I read this post! Beautiful colour though, I love it.

  • Son preciosos los dos, pero creo que me quedo con el de Tarte.
