The UK-Available Version of Tarte’s Tipsy Blush

There is one blush that whenever I wear I’m guaranteed someone will pick up on it and throw a compliment my way. Sounds like I’m being a Bobby Big Head there, but there’s just something about it that other gals always notice. It’s not in yer face or attention-grabbing in texture, it’s just the shade makes me look… healthy. Perkier, if you will. The compact I’m rambling on about is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy, which is no stranger to being the subject of my raves.

I must have had this in my collection for two years now and it still looks like I haven’t even touched it; it only needs one quick dab to dose up on the correct amount of pigment for two cheeks worth. It’s all kinds of amazing. The colour, texture, longevity. I’m tempted to say it’s amazeballs, but I won’t. Awesome. It’s just awesome. The only problem is that it’s a bit of a toughie to find on these shores. Sure, Sephora shipping has made the whole process easier, but it’s still a bit of a ballache (what is with me today?), with no bricks and mortar location to swatch, test and purchase at. So I’ve been on the lookout for a dupe and though it feels like forever since I started my search, I’ve finally found it…

It comes in the form of Bobbi Brown’s Blush in Pink Coral (which I have a feeling is a limited edition shade so run Forest, run). In the pan you’re probably doubting me, right? Pink Coral looks way more pink and Tipsy is leaning rather orange, but on the cheeks something magical happens and I truly can’t tell the two apart. I think I’m wearing Tipsy in the left picture and Pink Coral on the right, or could it be the left? I honestly I have no idea. Identical. The texture is the same too – shimmer free and holds its own throughout the day – in fact I think I may have been converted to Bobbi’s blushes. Anyone have any colour recs?
