The Repurchases

It’s fair to say that my beauty stash is ever expanding. I’ve lost count of the number of body moisturisers I own (please tell me I’m not the only one who has a hefty body butter supply!?), my foundation stores grow by the day and I have more than enough nail polish to open up a well-stocked nail salon. It’s fair to say I have enough beauty stuffs around me to last me a good few years or build a small bungalow if needed. So when a repurchase is made, it’s a big deal. I sneaked into Space NK the other day to pick up two essential items that I had recently used right to the depths of the tub, time for a repurchase.

The first culprit was the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm. Long name, amazing product, amazing smell. So amazing in fact, I would put it up there in my top five products that I’ve discovered this year. I remove my makeup, then apply this to my dry face, massage in then remove with a warm cloth or flannel and wowza – it’s one of the best beauty moments of each day. This leaves my face clean, soft and cleansed. Tick, tick, tick – I’m not sure I’ll ever be without it. The other product is one that I’m on my third repurchase of – By Terry’s Baume de Rose, winner of the most overpriced, but oh so nice, lipbalm in the world. When I first purchased this I didn’t get the hype. It was nice, but it didn’t dazzle me. I pushed it aside until my lips decided to pretend to be the Sahara desert and in a moment of desperation I threw it on again – problem solved and since then it’s been love.

Now neither of these are purse-friendly purchases – the Emma Hardie £34 and By Terry *cough* £35 *cough*, the price of which has most definitely risen since I bought my first tub of stuff two years ago. In fact I ran into Space NK, grabbed both, then proceeded to close my eyes until they were purchased and I was one foot out of the door. But both hell’a worth it in my eyes, and lets just say I’ll be eating Sainsburys Basics Baked Beans for dinner until next year. A bulk of beauty buys in exchange for baked beans? I’ll take it.

  • I think I already told you this, but my dad has got me the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. I’ve just run out of my oil cleanser from Le Belle Natural Skincare this morning, but I am going to try use up another cleanser in the mean time as I’m not allowed it until Christmas day! I really can’t wait to use it 🙂 I’m not sure I could pay £35 for a lip balm personally, but I do love the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid which smells amazing and leaves my lips feeling amazing too! I love when you find a product that’s good enough to warrant a repurchase 🙂 Lovely post xo

  • im with you with the baked beans and a bulgy beauty stash!

  • Amy

As much as both of these look amazing I’d be so worried about emptying my purse for them! By Terry products are packaged beautifully! I’ve found my holy grail lip balm in the Nuxe Reve de Miel so will definitely be repurchasing that when I’m out!

  • Leannemariexo

Currently using a sample of the EH Cleanser and I love it! It will have to be a full size purchase for sure! There’s a few few makeup and skincare items that i hands down will repurchase without even considering something else! I love it when this happens and you find the products that just work perfectly for you! xx

  • I need both of these

  • Both of these product sound amazing but I had no idea the Baume de Rose was £35?! Ouch!! XX

  • Glitterishallsorts

I remember when Baume de rose was £28 and that had me shrinking away! I love it but why’s it so pricey? 🙁

  • Catherine Westcott

Baume de rose is $92 in Australia! Yikes!

  • The Cleansing Balm sounds beautiful and so luxurious! Have you tried the Nuxe lip balm? It’s amazing and costs just under £10 – so not a cheap lip balm by any means, but waay cheaper than £35! xx

  • joysteib

Sounds amazing but a big pinch in the purse!!! It costs to look beautiful!!!

  • Really want to try the cleansing balm! xx

  • Hearts&Crosses

That sounds amazing, but £35 is so expensive!

  • Gita Bončina

Oh I would love to try those out.

  • Pri

ahhhh Anna, I just returned from SpaceNK with Nars’ Ondine and Laura Mercier Peach Whisper! I’m sensing a trip back soon for these! I have to say I love love love your style and recommendations! My wallet, on the other hand, aint so crazy about you! x x x

  • gimme a Labello anytime of the day.. I could buy something like 20 different ones for the price of a BAUME DE ROSE 🙂

  • Daria Buonin

I wish I could try the cleansing balm but apart from the price, my skin really doesn’t need something extra moisturizing… oh well, Emma Hardie see ya next time! Great post anyway 😉 x

  • Amelia

If Emma Hardie’s cleansing balm is worth just eating beans for a month, then sign me up. I’m in the market for another miracle product! I’m considering getting the kit that comes with the seeds to use as an exfoliant. Oooh, you got me all excited now! x

  • Hilariously, I’m right with you on the baked bean thing. Whoops!

  • Samantha Cometz

isn’t it sad when a facial cleanser is cheaper than a lip balm?! one day, they shall all be mine…

  • katherine.parkes

your recommendations are always the best so definitely gonna try the EH! x

  • Millie

Great post!!! Will definietly be trying this out! 🙂 ♥

  • paulina

you hav convinced me to buy them both oh dear! hah xx

  • Elizabeth Ogedengbe

The cleanser sounds amazing but the lip balm, at that price is just a bit too much for me! P.s. don’t worry I too have the largest body butter collection known to man…I swear my biggest fear is dry skin (no lie)!

Love your blog and videos!! xx

  • This is why I’m not allowed anywhere near beauty counters! I’m barely allowed online anymore aha. I’m beginning to use up my stash of non-makeup cosmetics though which is exciting as I get to actually go and buy new things! First in line is going to be a night cream so I need to start my research! x

  • Natalie

I’ve just ordered the Emma Hardie cleansing balm from feelunique for £23.80!! Bargain! I can’t wait to try it out 🙂
