Spot of Bother

I mentioned earlier today that I’ve been in a spot of bother recently. I’ve had ’em all; from a crop of blackheads striped across my nose, whiteheads here, there and everywhere and the pesky red bumps that just don’t come to anything but feel like the worst pain in the world (I obviously haven’t experienced childbirth yet) making unwelcome appearances on my chin. I haven’t been too outrageous with my food intake and I’ve been knocking back the pints (of water, that is); I’m as cool as a cucumber too so I’ve been reigning my breakouts in somehow with a trio of skin-soothing saviours. This is the edit I just had to share.

When my skin is in all sorts of trouble, I bring out the big gun cleanser in my arsenal. Oh I’ve got a fair few that I wheel out for all sorts of complexion woes; but for spots? It’s all about the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm. Warming when applied, the Hungarian mud helps to lift any muck off the top layer of skin and leaves a fresh base for a mask to get to work on. That’s where the Avene Cleanance Mask comes in. Clay-based and packed with kaolin – a good complexion clearer – it dries down and when rinsed away acts as a gentle exfoliator to work as a two-in-one, spot buster and skin polisher. For direct spot zapping you can’t beat the Origins Super Spot Remover, which I tend to use throughout the day or on isolated areas if there’s just one patch that’s giving me problems. It gives a tingle (got to love a bit of Tea Tree), but boy does this stuff work. Blemishes be gone. Please? Recommendations welcomed, my pen is poised.
