Short Hair Daily Grabs

So it’s only been a few days since things have got a little shorter lock-wise, but already I’m sensing what products are going to be coming to the forefront to lend their expertise on my shoulder skimming locks. And I’m pretty excited about the whole thing. Can you tell? Therefore I thought I’d serve up what I’ve been reaching for in life post-mid lengths…

I’m putting it down to all the playing, flicking and touching I’ve been engaging in with my strands since their snip, but things just seem to be getting greasier quicker. Is this normal? Or am I just being too touchy feely? It’s most probably the latter, so to combat this I’ve dug out the Serge Normat Meta Revive Dry Shampoo. Which in doing so I realised that there is a distinct lack of dry shampoo formulas in my drawers (recommendations are welcomed), so this is not the perfect choice by any means. There’s a hint of a grey-cast, which vigorous rubbing gets rid of, which in turn creates a ridiculous amount of fresh and fluffy volume. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that. Working on the opposing problem is Bumble and Bumble Semisumo which I’ve been grabbing to add a bit of grit and grease to the ends when things are looking a little too clean for my tastes (thanks for the heads up on this one Lily).

I’ve been striking the days off on my calendar until my haircut as I was lusting hard for the whole ‘waved lob’ effect. In fact the minute the hairdresser left I turned on my straighteners for the first time in yonks and got curling. To keep all my work in place I’ve been passing a spritz or two of Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray through as an insurance policy. It gives hold without the crunch, great stuff. And where would a lock line-up be without the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray – will I ever be without this? I get sweaty palms just imagining it…
