NARS-Centric Face Base

It’s very rare that one brand manages to cover every single face base step for me on a daily basis. Giorgio Armani has never even accomplished that – though I lurve their foundation and bronzer offerings, I’ve never given their concealers a chance. Laura Mercier probably comes closest, given my love for their tinted moisturiser and concealers, but bronzer-wise I’ve never found anything that matched up to my faux glow favourites. But NARS? Well they are just sort of ticking all the right boxes and the following three products have been pretty much been on daily repeat dominating my face base category exclusively. Given that I’ve been using this trio so darn much they’ll come as no surprise but I thought I’d cobble together some quick one-liners as to why they’ve reached everyday grabbing status and show you what they look like when they are expertly smooshed on my face (VDM trivia: I actually sported this threesome in my Charlotte Tilbury post)…

Firstly I stroke on a decent pump of the Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturiser in Alaska which gives glow, coverage and a healthy dose of colour to my chops. Then I go in with their Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla under my eyes, down the centre of that nose (still sporting that Rudolph nozzle) and around the edges. For both of these I use the ‘Hand Palette’ method that I mentioned in today’s morning post. To finish it off I use a product that has been at the forefront of my rotation for a good two years. Is that going to change anytime soon? No I think not. NARS Bronzer in Laguna is the compact in question and it’s just ah-mazing. Not too orangey, reddish or brown – it tops up my tan whatever time of the year and I find the bigger the brush the better when it comes to application. Cheekbones, temples and chest get a good dusting before I move on to the non-NARS-centric part of my routine.

I thought I could use this post as a bit of a NARS wishlist kickstarter. Anything else from them that I need to add to my kit? Who knows maybe I’ll reach the dizzying levels of  an exclusively NARS face…
