My Two Minute Gym/Errand/Weekend Face

IMG_9453 IMG_9486

I’m a big fan of literal no makeup days. It just feels natural to give your complexion a break, plus I really don’t give two hoots who sees me sans my usual slap. However, there are occasions – especially recently after my late night Serial sessions – that a touch of concealer and a bit of lift in the lashes doesn’t hurt and I managed to get a four product face that takes two minutes (ok, maybe four – but no longer than that) down. Here’s the dish…

Clarins Instant Light Concealer in 01 – due to the creamy, medium coverage consistency of this formula I apply this under my eyes, around my nose and on the tip of it and then blend it in with a brush to create a veil of product that performs the function of both a foundation and concealer. Getting rid of redness in the centre of my face and brightening under the eyes. The fresh finish (I don’t want to say dewy, necessarily), makes it such a great one-step complexion cheater.

Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Sepia – I have a few eyebrow pencils on the go at the moment but when I want to fill in the sparse areas quickly this is what I reach for. It’s basically the same get-up as the Hourglass one – a rectangular nib of waxy product on one end and a spoolie on the other – the shade is just a bit more grey-toned, and therefore natural looking. It takes me about 30 seconds to beef up my weaker brow.

Fairydrops Scandal Queen Mascara – I know, I know. I’ll brush over this one. The only mascara I’ve used since I got it about three months ago now (I need to pick up another bottle for back-up purposes but it’s sold out everywhere – groan). Lift, length and most importantly, it holds a curl.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu – the great thing with these pencils of punchy lip colour goodness is that they are so easy to apply, but so impactful at the same time. I took this bright fuchsia all over my lips in one quick sweep – one layer, nothing more – and threw it in my bag to touch-up throughout the day. It looks like you’ve made tonnes of effort when actually it’s taken 10 seconds.

P.S) Apologies for the shoddy swatch shot above. It was one of those days where I took about 52 photos and only one was somewhat useable.
