My Nails Inc Moment

IMG_8316 IMG_8319

Recently I’ve been having a real Nails Inc moment. Of course Essie are always number one, but the second spot has been open for a while and Nails Inc have just swooped in and filled it. I think it all began with their rebrand that happened a few months back now. At first I can’t say I was overjoyed by the price hike and the new bottles, but over time I’ve come to love the luxe look, the new logo and the fresh batch of colours that have made the cut along with the refresh of some old shades. It feels high-end, chic-er and right now it’s all I really want to wear on my nails…

I’m not sure whether the formula has changed, but the brush certainly has and now it’s one of those wide cuticle-hugging cuts that makes it über easy to dish out just the right amount of product and never miss a spot. In terms of colours they’re coming slow and steady into stores. A lot of the Boots I’ve been to still have a load of the old bottles with a few new ones dotted around, but John Lewis seem to have a fair amount of the new stock in and the Nails Inc Website or places online like House of Fraser are good spots to look if you want to see the whole of the new range. FYI the new bottles hold 14mls and are £14.

So onto colours that I’d recommend. Of course I’m going to say Porchester Square, I now have this colour in every edition – old bottle, gel, new bottle. It still remains one of my all time favourite shades. A pale lilac-tinged, grey that is just so flattering and easy to wear. Recently Swan Street has been my most worn. I’ve been going on about this shade loads recently and for good reason as it is just spring in a nail polish, right there. A creamy mint, that’s got the highest dose of white in it that I’ve seen, it takes three coats to build up, but is well worth the extra time and effort in application. Duke Street (on my nails in the pic above) is a more recent find and is one that is definitely different from the colour that it used to be in the old bottle if the images conjured up on a Google search on it are to be believed. A pastel lilac, it doesn’t come off too sickly sweet on the nails and it builds up well.

Nails Inc – keep doing what you’re doing. *applauds in a way that my freshly painted nails don’t get ruined*
