My Lips Have Been Loving…

Everyone goes through phases with makeup, I’m usually a foundation fanatic, but every now and again I move into a different cycle and right now it’s lips. There are quite a few new lip delights that I haven’t mentioned yet so thought I’d throw together a little lip love medley for you today.

First up is the EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint that was kindly given to me by my blogging buddy Yu (link to her blog here). These ball shaped balms are pretty difficult to find here in the UK, although I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them on Zuneta and are a 100% natural sphere of nourishing goodness for your lips. These even have the Boyfriends seal of aproval who has now added them to his US shopping wishlist! Next up is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Evasion; now I can’t say I have been blown away by this lipstick, but it is in a gorgeous ‘my lips but peachier’ shade and gives them a nice sheen. It hasn’t put me off them and I’m sure one day soon, the shade Boy will be mine! NARS Barbarella is going to be the lipstick of the Summer for me I think. Not much pigmentation here, but much like the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine it gives a pretty gloss to the lips with a hint of colour. It’s been on my wishlist for a long time and I’m so chuffed I finally picked it up! I’m a fan of natural lip colours and they don’t come more subtle than the L’Occitane Lipstick in Pivoine Délicate*. Think somewhere in between MAC Hue and Angel but in a glaze formula and you get this shade, it is simply stunning, I think I’ll have to do a post just on this as it’s by far my favourite out of the bunch. Finally, probably the most unique one of the lot is the NUXE Rêve de Miel lipbalm. I had heard so much about this product, but everyone had seemed to neglect to mention that this is a matte lip balm – bizarre right? But actually rather nice, sometimes I don’t want a gloss to my lips and this adds a bit of moisture while keeping them looking natural.

So there’s the run-down of my favourite lip products of the moment – just a few! What lip loving treats are you liking right now? I’d love to hear!

  • I really really want the EOS Lip Balm! It’s so annoying that we can’t get it here, but next time I go to America I am going to stock ut, it’s so good!
Another lip balm I love is Jack Black’s – it’s minty and amazing and I LOVE it!! Seriously one of the best I’ve tried!

  • Daria Buonin

I love L’Occitane 🙂 there’s a huge store here where I live, you actually reminded me I have to check it out! ;)

  • I would think that EOS Lip Balms were much more easily accessible in the UK, especially when Boots in Norway are stocking them. But I agree that they’re amazing, currently debating if I’m going to throw away my other lip balms in favour of using only EOS Lip Balms!

Gorgeous! I think the natural look great for the summer months, though I must say I do adore a bright lip. Anything L’Occitane is right up my street – I have an order containing the almond shower oil on its way, based on your recommendation :). So excited!

Despite religiously following beauty channels and blogs, I don’t usually leave comments. However, I really wanted to let you know that I absolutely love your videos and your blog.
I have been following the community since Laura (Lollipop26) started. She was someone who’s opinion I really appreciated and most importantly trusted. Around the time that she stopped making videos I felt like the community had changed a lot. I no longer knew whether recommendations from “guru’s” were genuine, or whether they were influenced by companies.
Discovering your You Tube channel couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Your blog has now become a daily read for me. I really trust your opinions, and some of your skincare recommendations have worked wonders. Plus your style is amazing – not good for my bank balance!

I am going to have to get the L’Occitane lippy i couldnt decide and got the lip balm instead but i am not sold on it as it really doesnt go on as well as you would expect a lip balm to, but the shades were similar, but now i think the lipstick will have to replace it!!!

I’ve just spent a shocking, as well as embarrassing, number of hours pouring over Nars lipstick swatches trying to decide which should be my first Nars lip shade.  Why didn’t I think to check here first!?
    Barbarella it is! xx

Funny you mention Chanel ‘Boy’ in this post as this has been my latest lip purchase. For a girl that likes wearing a different lip product everyday this has been going on every single day!
