My Current Brow Grooming Kit

When Nic Chapman exclaims that your brows have good shape, not only is a life goal achieved but you know you’re doing something right. This episode came a few week’s ago when Sam and Nic did mine and Lily’s makeup for an event whilst Lily and I tried not to squeal too much and they did their magic. Dreams do come true people. Nic did an amazing job and I now need MAC Pigment in Antique Gold amongst a tonne of other stuff she used. Back to the brows though and as I mentioned to Nic at the time I was having a good brow moment because I’d been to Blink for a brow-threading session just a few days before and I’m telling you – they really do perform miracles there. I hadn’t grown out my brows on this occasion as it was a last-minute decision to head there, so there wasn’t necessarily much for them to get; but they just did such a great job of evening out my shape and tidying everything up. I know it’s cheaper elsewhere, but I’ve never had a crappy threading there or felt like a bald egg head afterwards.

To accompany my freshly strimmed brows I’ve employed a new team of products as I’d come to the end of the line with my product stash. I know *pats self on back*. I wanted to try a few new things and as I mentioned in yesterday’s post, the NYX Eyebrow Marker in Medium and Tinted Brow Mascara in Brunette are pretty darn awesome. I’ll spare the raving here because you only heard it one day ago, but I’m enjoying filling in my bare bits with the marker as the finish is so subtle and light and then brushing them through with the gel just to set everything in place. I don’t feel like things look drawn on and my hairs stay put the whole day instead of waving around wildly in the wind.

The above outlines my quick and easy method, though if I have a bit more time on my hands or fancy a more precise finish then it’s always nice to have a pencil waiting in the wings. I thought I’d give Charlotte Tilbury’s Brow Lift a go. I love every single item I’ve ever purchased from her line and this is no exception to the rule. The shade Brooke S. is a good match for me with just the right amount of warm and cool tones and the spoolie on the end is a good’un. You know how I feel about a good spoolie. I actually didn’t realise this till yesterday, but the pencil twists out into two separate parts and there’s a shimmer-soaked sponge tip hidden in the centre that acts a mini brush-on highlight. How cool is that? Ah Charlotte, you always go the extra mile.
