Multi-Tasking Beauty Bits

Who doesn’t love a good two-in-one when it comes to a product? Or even better a three-in-one. Heck, a four-in-one is where it’s really at. Multi-tasking beauty bits rock; down-sizing your stash by applying its talents to different uses, therefore taking up less space, making them the perfect travel companions, must-haves and all-round beauty do-gooders. Today I’ve got three up my sleeve spanning the categories of makeup, skincare, body care and haircare – oh yep I’ve got them all – performing a range of functions from taming flyways to highlighting cheeks and providing an oh-so-slippery shaving foam base to giving lips a good dose of hydration. Here are my top five products that do more than their fair share of duties and areย well worth a look in.

  • Great video ๐Ÿ™‚ Multi – use products are the best, especially for holidays! I really want to try the Foam Burst xx

  • Always makes me smile when I wake up to a new ViviannaDoesMakeup video in my subscription box ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Loved this video. Great tips and products. I love reading and watching everything you do x

    Beth. x

  • I am also prone to those crazy, over-the-ear flyaways, I look like I’ve got aeriels (hairiels?) when I put my hair up! Thanks for the clear mascara tip ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Love the sound of some of these! Ive tried quite a few macadamia products and loved so many! Lilly xx

  • I love products like this! I use Aquaphor like the 8hr cream and my favorite dry shampoo is the one from Blowpro. I also wondered if you had tried the Charles Worthington Dry Texture spray that Amelia always talks about? I got some while I was in London and I’m so sad I can’t buy it in the US when I run out ๐Ÿ™

  • I have to admit: I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap. Eh, it’s probably just me because I’m obsessed with that stuff…all because of you. (: Eight Hour Cream is such a cult favorite. I’ve got Homeoplasmine, but we don’t get along too well. x

Anna if you cut the top third or so off of the Elizabeth Arden tube, wash the top part out and use it as a lid, you’ll be surprised how much product is still in there!! I do it with all my tubes.

  • Your ol’ blog is looking so professional these days – love it! My top multitasking beauty thang definitely has to be the old classic, Vaseline. Works for elbows, works for lips… sticks glitter on when that’s what you’re going for… It’s also really good for keeping my forehead clean when I dye my hair. It’s an oldie but a goody.

  • Yvette

You look absolutely stunning in this video! ๐Ÿ™‚
Great selection, using clear gel for flyaways is such a clever trick, I’ve never heard it before!

  • emiller1233

Why do you set your RSS feed to not show the full article without a click through? I don’t know any other beauty blogger that does this and it is so frustrating. It just seems to be a money grab, and it’s really irritating to click through an article like this and find out it’s just a link to a video – which I prefer to watch on youtube, not within articles.

  • The Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream is on my wishlist! Thanks for sharing this! Unfortunately, the MUFE HD powder leaves a terrible white cast on photos.

  • Joladeda

Totally agree re. versatility of Imperial Leather shower gel / shaving foam! I like Vaseline ‘Paint the town red’ as a cheek tint as well as a lip balm. Saw your feature in The Stylist hence popping by your blog – glad to have found it!

  • What a super handy post! The Macadamia dry shampoo sounds incredible and I really have to test out the Eight-Hour Cream ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a wonderful weekend, Anna! xo

  • Argh, I love foamburst! Unfortunately the 8 hour cream and I don’t get on very well ๐Ÿ™ I love multi-use products!

  • I didn’t know you could use clear mascara to tame flyaways! Great idea, thanks so much for sharing! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • your hair looks extra good in this video!:)

  • Jo Fisher

I adore the Imperial Leather shower gel! I’ve used it for YEARS but have fallen in love with the almond and honey one. It’s bliss and my legs always feel incredible if I use it instead of shaving foam ๐Ÿ™‚
