Ice, Ice Baby

I have to say I’m not a big jewellery wearer. Sure I did the whole ‘gold hoop earrings that made my ears green’ thing back in the ’00’s, then there was the beaded necklace phase, the Baby G and tattoo-impersonating elasticated chokers; but teen style mishaps aside I really don’t wear too much bling these days. I don’t even have a jewellery box, just a few items that roll across my dressing table and fall on the floor every single morning (perhaps I should invest in one?). Though there are three pieces that I’ve been gravitating towards recently to add a bit of somethin’ somethin’ to my outfit including two Whistles purchases (dur) and a necklace from an online shop that’s well and truly earned its place on my bookmarks list…

Minoux Gold Tubits Necklace – This dainty gold chain with tubing detail has made its way to me all the way from Canada from  Anomie; an online destination created by Chelsea Wears that contains all of the pretty things. I’m not sure I’ve ever worn something so delicate which does mean that I impose a ‘don’t come near me’ rule whenever I’m wearing this, but it is just so darn gawjus. Elegant, simple and oh so chic.

Whistles Graphic Cut Out Cuff – As much as I love Whistles clothing, I’m a huge fan of their accessory range; jewels, bags, the lot and this cuff just called to me. Tough, but modern I picture throwing it into the mix to jazz up an all-black monochrome outfit. I still haven’t got the knack of slipping it on without almost breaking my wrist each time, but I’m working on it.

Whistles Graphic Point Ring – I do like a good ring. I’ve owned a few from Whistles before, but this is my most recent purchase. A double point, thick gold band that I like to wear on my wedding ring finger on my non-wedding ring hand. My only niggle is that my bony fingers fall between sizes; a small creates panic whenever I try and pull it off and a medium just slips off anytime I wave my hands around, so I went for the small and just have a knob of butter on hand at all times.

So there you have it – ice appropriate for all the non-bling loving babes out there. Now it’s time to listen to this.
