The Capsule Wardrobe Experiment & I’m Back into Berry

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. The Capsule Wardrobe. I’ve well and truly been sucked into a capsule wardrobe experiment, thanks to Caroline’s blog, Unfancy. I wasn’t happy with how things were going in the clothing department, so this seemed like a good way for me to shake things up, invest in some worthwhile pieces, have a play with my style more and see if I can go without clothing shopping for three months. I’ll do a post about it very soon because I could quite happy write an essay on it…

2. A Nourishing Mist. I finally finished up my Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence, so it was time to move on and next up in my ‘to-try- pile was the Kate Somerville Nourish Hydrating Firming Mist and I really, really like it. The flow of the spritz is light, so it’s not one you have to mentally prepare for and it feels refreshing, whilst sinking in quickly and giving a bit more slip to my eye cream and serum. LOVE.

3. Liquid Lipstick Lover Problems. Now autumn has well and truly set in, I’m back to whipping out a bold lip on the reg and with that comes a lusting for some new liquid lipsticks. I posted about my favourites here, but I think I need to add some new colours of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line to my collection. Right now I’m eyeing up Double Dare, Exorcism and Belovedwhat do you think?

4. I’m Back into Berry. Speaking of lipsticks, I’m firmly back into my berries and my favourite combination right now is actually a mix of two Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks (yes I know, I’m a bit obsessed). L.U.V is a crazy Rihanna-esque purple that although I loved on, I was never brave enough to wear it out the house, but mixed with a bit of Outlaw, a staight-up red, it creates the perfect berry. I just smoosh the two on the back of my hand and make my own little custom mix (side note: it gets messy, kitchen roll necessary).

5. The Best Nail Polish EVER? I know I’ve mentioned it already round here, but I just needed to say again how much of a beaut Smith & Cult’s Doe My Dear is. I’m not really interested in wearing anything else on my nails these days. It’s grey/lilac/beige perfection and it doesn’t last too bad too. I can eke it out till around four days when things start to look like they need a re-paint.
