It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:
1. Nicole Guerriero’s Talk Through Tutorials. Nicole is my new girl crush. I’m having a real US beauty gal moment when it comes to Youtubers that I like to watch and this lovely lass is up there with my favourites. The way she blends eyeshadow is dreamy and I love how her makeup videos can get up to almost 40 minutes long. I pop her on, slip on the rubber gloves to do the housework and then am thoroughly entertained while doing so.
2. Stella’s Spring Drop. Now I’ve got to say the main pull of Stella McCartney’s new Stella Eau de Toilette is the bottle. I’m a sucker for anything polka dot. But inside there’s a lighter and slightly fresher take on her best-selling fragrance that has me thinking it’s the perfect spring/summer scent. There’s the new addition of some green notes and whiff of freesia which make it a parred back rose scent, perfect for those who are into the subtler side of the perfume spectrum.
3. Getting Juicy. If you couldn’t already tell by Wednesday’s video I’ve been getting into liquid concoctions recently thanks to my new juicer. Green juice is now something I drink every morning first thing (though the first first thing I do is clean my juicer, because let me tell you – dried on bits of carrot are not fun to wash off). Anyone given any of the recipes a go? The ones I’ve spotted on Twitter and Instagram already look seriously scrummy.
4. So I Got the Nail Polish and I Haven’t Taken it Off. You know how last weekend I was talking about the Nails Inc ‘The New White’ collection? Well it took all of about three hours for me to go out and purchase them, paint the shade Swan Street on my nails and I’ve been rotating it with White Horse Street ever since. A creamy take on the usual spring pastels and actually for a white-based polish they paint on pretty well. Love ’em.
5. Essie’s New Dreamy Shades. How beautiful do these look all together? I think I would happily wear every single one. Especially that mint. Oh and that lilac. And that aqua. I spotted this peek at the Essie spring drop on The Beauty Department’s Instagram page, so no idea on a UK release date, but if I hear anything I’ll let you know because I can already tell I’ll be filling up my basket with most, if not all of these.
