A Foodie Feeling & Pretty in Pink

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. My Uniqlo Funnel CoatA coat that’s black, simple and covers my bum? Yep, it’s perfect. It keeps me warm, looks good dressed up or down, open or closed and I basically haven’t taken it off since I got it.

2. Getting Back into MAC. My MAC urges come over me in waves and right now the tide is in and if I could I would head to MAC on a daily basis to mull over the pretty makeup displays. I was putting a post together on a starter set of their eyeshadows and it made me realise just how good their colours, set-ups and textures really are. All That Glitters will forever have a place in my heart and MAC Lip Pencil in Soar – there’s a place for you in my makeup collection if you ever want to be back in stock again.

3. Pretty in Pink. I never thought you’d catch me saying this but I’m really having a moment with pinky toned makeup at the moment. Perhaps it’s the time of year and that I’m beyond desperate for spring to roll around but there’s something about the soft pastel shade that’s very awakening and pretty when not used in ’80’s like doses. Expect a post on the matter coming next week…

3. The Foodie Feeling. Another thing I have planned for next week is a little foodie takeover, so expect to see a whole lot of tasty looking dishes round these parts on Wednesday. Make sure you’re not hungry before you head over here. You have been warned.

5. A New Diary. One of the best things about New Year’s is the fact that you can start a new diary and all the pages feel all fresh and non-scribbled on. I LOVE this one that I picked up from Kate Spade last year, though it is pretty hefty so I’ve dubbed this my ‘desk diary’ and will pop my mini Moleskine one into my handbag for jotting down dates on the move. I know, I don’t use iCal – still a paper and pen girl me!
