Minted, Makeup Newness & MAC’s Glow Giver

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. All edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away…

1. Minted. WARNING: You will spend the next hour browsing this website and wishing that you had more walls in your home to fill with these stunning prints. I’m not quite sure if I wish to tot up just how many minutes hours I’ve spent perusing this corner of the internet, but I have picked up a few new things for the flat which I can’t wait to share. Let’s just say that our pillow game is about to be seriously strong.

2. Clinique’s New Awesome Brush. Now I have a feeling that this was just realised exclusively online yesterday, so it might still be a bit of a pain to find, but Clinique’s new Buff Brush is well worth a look-in if you like your foundation with a light coverage and seamless finish. It’s become my new go-to when it comes to slapping on a weekend base or sheering out fuller formulas. And it’s so darn soft.

3. It’s Time To Ditch The Scales. I’ve never been obsessed with the scales, but I’ll admit that whenever I did weight myself, the number that flashed back at me did affect how I felt about my body that day. Currently I’m at the heaviest I think I’ve ever been and let me tell you – I feel fab. Blancmange-like areas of my body are feeling firmer and unless all the Cream Eggs I consumed over the past weekend have reformed inside my belly, then I’m crossing my fingers that it’s muscle that’s making a much welcomed appearance. I think I’ll pop up a post soon about this topic, because it’s not about the numbers but how you feel. Oh so deep (but so true).

4. Makeup Newness. Recently I picked up a few new makeup bits that I’ve been dying to try; namely the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation Stick, an Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit and a few shades of the Jouer Long-Wear Creme Liquid Lipsticks. It’s been physically painful not to have a proper play with them, because I’m saving ’em up for a first impressions video that will drop on Wednesday. Keep your eyes peeled.

5. MAC Strobe Cream. How the hell have I never discovered this before? I have no idea what caused me to pick this up during a recent MAC haul, but it’s seriously, seriously awesome if you like a dewy, non-set finish to your base. I’ve been adding a blob to all my foundations to give them some extra glow, but it works perfectly well as a creamy highlighter on the cheekbones too. I recommend picking up the travel-size as a little goes a long way and I think it’s going to take me years to use up this little tube.
