Fake Tan Faux Pas Fixer

I’ve been slapping the faux glow stuff on for years – I remember once being removed to the garden when I was about 13 during my first experiment with the stuff as not to dirty the bathroom, and sprayed it on not realising you had to blend it in, cue a handful of orange splodges on each leg, that went down well in P.E – and though I would class myself as an advanced tanner 10 years later, I still get it wrong sometimes. No more orange splodges or streaks, but the sunkissed conundrum I suffer with the most is build-up, a.k.a) T.M.T, or too much tan as it’s more widely known especially in those finickity areas: elbows, ankles, wrists, hands and feet. The latter occurred last week during a Xen-Tan sesh when things got a little overzealous in the foot area. Now I’ve tried all types of tan removal, but in true sods law stylée whenever you want to remove, it doesn’t budge, but alas I have found a solution…

Enter the fake tan faux pas fixing duo that is Fig + Yarrow’s Alpine Pumice Foot Treatment and the St Tropez Tan Build Up Remover Mitt. The oil content of the Fig + Yarrow (Extra Virgin Olive Oil is its second ingredient), combo-ed up with its pumice power and the scrubbing action of the St Tropez Mitt – my feet were ready for public sandal exposure in no time. For those wishing to scrimp I’d suggest picking up the mitt and going to town on overly tanned areas with a bit of Olive Oil from your kitchen cupboards. T.M.T no more.
