Current Makeup Check-In

There’s an element of peachy pink, brow taming, some bronze bits thrown in and a barely there base, it can only be one thing. My current makeup rotation that has been gracing my face of late. Now it’s nothing spectacular so I’ll save you the samey selfie, a quick browse of ‘The Makeup’ archives and you’ll get the gist. But it had been a week or two since I scribed down an update so I thought I’d check-in…

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint in Linen – I’ve rambled on about this before; nice, light, no complaints. And due to the fact it’s the best colour fit right now in my collection, it’s been called up to the frontline. A good run of eight-hour sleep nights has meant I’ve been able to skip the usual Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer and go straight to…

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in 03*. I love a good Guerlain bronzer. Never muddy, nor orange all you get is a compact of pure powdered sun. And this one is no different, it’s got an almost reddy tint that gives a naturally sunkissed hue and with a bit of shimmer it’s become my one-stop cheek shop.

Smashbox Brow Tech To Go in Taupe*: A very similar, yet slightly cheaper version of the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. The colour may not as good a fit as the Hourglass for me, but the fact that the non-drawing end houses a mini brow gel gets thumbs up. Draw, set, go.

NARS Pleasures of Paris Eyeshadow Palette: When I posted a picture of this on Instagram the heart-eyed emojis just kept coming through. It’s a palette I often forget, but Fez – a shimmered rusty brown – dusted all over the lids with a MAC 217 has become my daily go-to.

MaxFactor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara: I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that my beloved L’Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara looks like it’s being discontinued and am coming round to the idea of MaxFactors offering. It’s more natural looking on the lashes than the L’Oreal but come to think of it, that’s a good thing – right?

NARS Lipstick in Barbarella: This is one of those lipsticks that I can’t seem to fish out of my bag and apply without someone enquiring its shade name. A sheer balmy peach, it’s a no mirror required jobbie and leaves my pout looking sheeny but not sticky.
