Chantecaille Lucky Brilliant Gloss

I am a lipstick girl at heart. The lipstick to lipgloss ratio in my makeup drawer will tell you that. I usually find glosses too sticky or too sheer to make any real difference to the look of my lips, so it’s step of my makeup routine that is often missed. But there is one lipgloss that I’ve currently been reaching for quite a lot and it’s from a brand that I would rather like to own everything from – Chantecaille.

The gloss in question is their Lucky Brilliant Gloss* from their Spring 2012 Collection. Like Laura Mercier (that I was raving about in this blog post), Chantecaille is a brand that channels neutral colours and gorgeously luxurious formulas; if you’re a fan of natural tones then you’re in for a treat with their newest collection. From the Coral Reefs Palette, containing three smokey eye shades and one coral cheek colour to the Sunrise Lip Chic, a bright coral pink high-shine lipstick formula, this is not a collection which will leave you looking overdone but more leave people questioning if you are even wearing makeup! The Lucky Brilliant gloss ticks all the lipgloss boxes for me – non-sticky, a hint of a nudey pink colour with slight golden shimmers and a nice and easy brush applicator. It even lasts pretty well on the lips for a gloss, a touch up is needed every two hours or so. You can see it in action in my most recent tutorial video.

I would put this gloss ‘up-there’ with the dizzying heights of my all time favourite lipgloss, the Clarins Natural Light lip Perfector in Shade 2. Both are non-sticky, smell scrummy and give a natural nude tone to the lips . The Chantecaille Lucky Brilliant Gloss retails at £23, and its available from Harrods, Space NK, Fenwicks and Liberty.
