CHANEL’s Newly Formulated Nail Lacquer

Heads up – CHANEL have reformulated and relaunched their Le Vernis line and I thought I’d give you my top picks before the range heads to counters on April 22nd. The new collection consists of 15 colours with only four returning from the original selection – BallerinaParticulierePirate and, my personal favourite – Rouge Noir. The rest are never-seen-before shades and although 15 doesn’t sound too hefty, it will be topped up throughout the year with limited edition seasonal releases (and we all know how ridiculously beautiful those always are).

There’s also a Gel Top Coat coming which CHANEL say when paired with the new colours, should leave you with a chip-free mani for six days. Being that the chipping-complaint was quite an oft-used one with the old formula I’m pleased to report that the new polishes actually perform really well. My nails are horrendously flakey and so probably aren’t best test for nail polishes, but I used the colour Garçonne with the top coat and got to day four before things started to look a bit shabby around the edges which really isn’t bad for a heavy handed, non washing-up glove wearer like myself (sorry I completely forgot to snap a pic, next time I have it on I’ll pop up a Snapchat – vivannamakeup if you want to check it out). Espadrilles, which is part of their summer limited edition drop is well worth a look in too if you’re into orange-based reds. So April 22nd – pop it in your diary peeps.
