Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Collection

Sometimes I spot a launch and it just has my name written all over it. Bobbi Brown’s Rich Chocolate Collection, case in point. A hunk of nude shades and an injection of new colours into already kick-ass formulas – I’m all over it. It’s already launched online if you wish to peruse and there’s plenty of newness to throw into your basket: a matte brown addition to their Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick lineup and new shades of Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, Lip Colours and Long-Wear Eye Pencils. But there are two entries that are particularly worth noting…

First up there’s the Rich Chocolate Eye Palette*, the obvious sell-out of the collection that’s getting everyone a bit hot under the collar. It’s lovely and as you’d expect; smooth textures  (aside from the centre shade that leans a little too glittery for my tastes) delivered with good colour pay-off, all housed in a slim compact that isn’t a ballache to store and with a half decent brush for once. It sort of reminds me of a more sophisticated and comprehensive version of the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette.

But that’s not what’s got me the most excited. Enter their Blush in Pink Coral* – the newest addition to the BB Blush offering. POW, would you look at that shade? Like a juicy melon in a compact, I feel like it’s reinvigorated my love for a pinch of colour in the cheeks. But best of all, it’s not a million miles away from Tarte’s Amazonian 12hr Clay Blush in Tipsy – and you know how I feel about that. Tipsy is more on the peachy-side, whereas Pink Coral is more pink but it’s close-ish. A new blush love? I think so.
