Blue-tiful Nails

And so the non-pricey polish push continues. First we had the Barry M Gelly formulation, then Rimmel’s Salon Pro offering and now I’m slowly acquring quite the collection of Bourjois’ 1 Seconde Nail Enamels. First spoken about here, I’ve since picked up another two shades, the swatched above of which is my favourite – Blue No Blues. It’s almost like if a highlighter had a baby with Essie’s Mint Candy Apple; it is bold, bright and I’d advise not staring at your mani for too long sans sunglasses. The findings formula-wise match up to my past experience, smooth with no dragging, and a ridiculously opaque formula that you could get away with just lacquering on once on a time strapped day.

Heads up though; the colour selection of these in some Boots and Superdrugs borderlines on bizarre – taupes laced with shimmer, yellows, lilacs and none of the bestsellers to be found – you have to hunt down a large-ish counter to get the good stuff. But it’s worth the scouting. And who’s with me to petition for an orangey red shade in this formula – I’d snap that up in a second. A second, 1 second? You get it? It’s ok, I’ll leave now…
