Stella McCartney STELLA

I’ve heard positive musings regarding this perfume for a longtime now putting it firmly on my scent radar. It’s been touted as the perfume of the Made In Chelsea girls, many a peoples go-to Summer fragrance and the ideal ‘know your girlfriends going to like it’ gift. So I found myself finally hunting it down in Debenhams last weekend and even managed to get some money off of it with my Debenhams beauty club points (who knew? I haven’t got anything from there for years)! I haven’t bought a perfume for ages and I don’t know why I put it off so long as it’s official, Stella McCartney STELLA is gorgeous!

With top notes of rose, peony and madarin, heart notes of rose absolute and a base note of amber this perfume certainly isn’t for the floral faint hearted. But think of it as more modern floral scent than you’re used to, no grannie or headache-inducing connotations, just a refreshing rose aurora. I would say it’s an interesting mix between Viktor & Rolfs Flowerbomb and CK One – the rich floral notes of Flowerbomb but without the sickly sweet girliness and the freshness of CK One. For an EDP it certainly doesn’t have the staying power you’d expect, but it’s probably the most travel-friendly bottle of perfume that I own so I don’t mind lobbing it in my bag for a few touching up spritzes throughout the day.

You can pick up a 30ml STELLA from most larger department stores for £38. I know for my next bottle I’ll be looking out for the cute limited edition patterned ones. And yes I think there will be another bottle as I reckon this will be my ultimate Summer scent! So, are any of you STELLA fans? The perfume that is, not the drink…… 😉
