AD INFO: This post features an advertorial from Liberty

I was once given a Liberty* gift card as a leaving present from a job – well actually it’s a hefty silver coin not a gift card, which makes the whole thing feel even more exciting – and still eight years later, it remains the best leaving present I’ve ever received. I remember spending about 45 minutes in the beauty hall working out what to spend it on. I have a feeling that it was something from Hourglass*, which is a weird full-circle moment as they are featured in today’s post, along with a whole host of other clean, green and conscious beauty brands that can be found stocked online and in the walls of the most beautiful retail store in the whole of the U.K. And that’s a fact (fact checked by yours truly).

We’re all trying our best with metal straws and reusable coffee cups, so why not extend the same care and attention to your beauty stash and invest in brands that are making all the right moves to help the planet; whether it’s packaging that’s made from recycled goods or formulas that don’t harm when they make the trip down the plug hole? I know it’s something that I’m certainly becoming a lot more conscious of and have begun to read up a lot more on. Not sure where to start? Well thankfully Liberty  have made it extremely easy to shop – find their selection here – and I’m sharing my edit…

The Skin Smoother – Omorovicza Acid Fix*. My skin has completely transformed since I began incorporating acids into my routine and this is next up on my to-try list. Vegan-friendly, gluten-free and formulated with phthalates this AHA and BHA-laden formula is there to work it’s magic on blemishes, dryness and hyper pigmentation. I am PUMPED.

The ProtectorREN Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30*. I love me an SPF and you know what I love even more than that? A mineral based SPF. Classically more suitable for sensitive skins *raises hand*, this sun screen contains over 99% natural ingredients and comes in a fully recyclable tube. It’s more matte than I would usually go for you (I lean into the grease that SPF’s can often supply), but if you’re more on the oily side or travelling somewhere that’s real sweat-inducing then this is a good one to have in your bathroom cabinet.

The Healthy Glow HugVotary Super Seed Facial Oil*. I have no idea why I’ve been sleeping on this brand, because it’s slowly creeping up on me and becoming a fave. Plant-based and fragrance-free this facial oil is packed with 22 über nourishing super seed oils to deliver glow in just a few drops. I’m also really enjoying their Blemish Rescue Oil* which seems to be doing a brilliant job of clearing up my current breakouts (I can see why it has a five star review on the Liberty site!).

The Juicy Lip GiverHourglass Unreal High Shine Volumising Lip Gloss*. I heart Hourglass; always have, always will. A high-end beauty brand that’s been cruelty free from the beginning and consistently hits it out the park with new launches. Their most recent one is this gloss and if you want an opaque, high-shine, high-pigment gloss then say hello to your new BFF. I’m wearing the shade Icon in today’s post, but I’m partial to the good ol’ pinky peach Canvas too.

The Nude NailKester Black Nail Polish*. I’m super into this sandy-pink shade recently. I wore this sort of colour the whole time I was away in California and now I’m back I’m still into it – my summer nail pick for sure. This formula paints on easily and is made to be water-permeable which makes it completely unique in the industry and means that it’s a breathable, sustainable solution that’s kind to your nails AND the environment.

The ClassicClaus Porto Favourito Red Poppy Bath Soap*. I’ll admit that when I first saw this in my box of Liberty Beaty* goodies, I balked a little as I conjured up images of me going all Baloo from the Jungle Book having a scratch-fest, but thanks to it’s Shea Butter-filled formula this soap is about as luxe and rich as they come and my skin loves it. The old-school scent fills your bathroom like an unlit candle.

The Sleep SubstituteREN Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Wash*. Holy moly – THE SCENT OF THIS STUFF. It’s basically like they bottled up the aroma of a spa, mixed in some snooze-inducing Magnesium PCA and made a heavenly shower gel baby. All packaged in a bottle made from 100% recycled plastic, that’s fully recyclable where facilities exist.

The Clean Bathroom EssentialThe Truthbrush Medium Bristle Brush*. I’m not sure I’ve ever called a toothbrush cute before, so I’ll say it now – this toothbrush is *so* cute. With an anti-bacterial bamboo base, it features plant-based castor oil-blended bristles and an ergonomically crafted handle. Super functional and Instagram-worthy all at the same time. I’ll be throwing this in my travel bag.

You shop the above online*, along with over 25 clean beauty brands that Liberty now stock; from old favourites like Herbivore*, to the new kids on the beauty scene Montamonta*, there’s going to be something clean and green that tickles your fancy…
