The Weekend Post #25: The In-Flight Facial

Greetings from Florida you lovely lot! I arrived safe and well yesterday if a little weary and hungry after snubbing the plane food (yack!), although that was quickly rectified by a trip to Chili’s. I may be sunning it up for the next two weeks, but don’t think that’s going to stop me blogging – I have a laptop and a wi-fi connection and I’m not afraid to use it! On yesterday’s flight, lets just say I went a little wild with the beauty products; they only just fitted in that 20×20 plastic bag they give you – opps! I’ll show you everything else that was in there in a ‘Hand Luggage Beauty’ video that will be going up sometime this week; but for now, here are the things I reached for the most and made up my ‘In-Flight Facial’…

When we got moving the first thing I did when we got moving was remove my makeup with the Bioderma Crealine H20 Solution – the combination of that and the jet of cold air buffering down on me was actually very refreshing. Then I gave my face a spritz with the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, again so refreshing and this came in very handy when the plane became overcome with some suspicious smells; my Mum and I sat there spraying this onto  scarfs and covering our faces with them! Smells amazing, feels amazing. Something that I probably never would have thought to do until I’d seen this video from Lisa Eldridge was applying a hydrating mask throughout the flight to reduce skin hydration and make your face feel all-round fabulous, so I took a small amount of the Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask with me in a Muji container – and boy was this the best tip ever! The mask is clear so it didn’t even look like I had a mask on, I reapplied it about four times throughout the flight and my skin just soaked it all in and I haven’t suffered with any dryness or irritation from the flight. A few other facial bits that I kept on reapplying throughout the flight were the Lierac Diopti Calm Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream, the most soothing and cooling eye cream ever, and the Origins Super Spot Remover* as I had a few nasty spots that this is helping to clear up. Of course, the By Terry Baume de Rose came with me for my lips and cuticles, and I’m sitting here now nice and nourished so the routine must have worked! Before we landed I took a cotton pad soaked with Bioderma all over my face and threw on a few bits of makeup and that was my in-flight routine sorted!

I did make a little trip to a supermarket yesterday and you should have seen how much makeup they had – dreamworld! I think I’m going to end up picking up quite a lot of things that we can’t get in the UK, so if anyone has any recommendations for what I need to add to my shopping list then do pop them below. Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!
