Something For The Weekend

You know what I’m really into the moment? Newsletters. No not those ones that you don’t even remember signing up to or those ones where it’s like ‘Hey there’s a sale! Come and spend all your money on out of season things that you don’t need!’. I’m enjoying newsletters that I do remember signing up for. In particular I love Emma Gannon’s which are mix of life updates and links to articles she’s read, podcasts she’s listened too, video she’s watched. It’s like one big WhatsApp message from a friend. Another are Yoga With Adrienne’s that are like mini motivational kicks up the butt in the most relaxing and inspiring way – you have to subscribe just to see what the hell I’m going on about. So this Friday I thought I’d do my own version of a newsletter but in blog-form. Something for the weekend, if you will. Here we go…

In terms of a life update, this week has been a tale of two halves. The first part was nuts with the Glamour Awards (see the vlog here!) and London visits and the second has been more chill and far more conducive to actually getting shizz done. Thank you so much for all your kind comments on that ZARA jumpsuit on all my social media stuff. You lot are too kind.

There are two girls that I’m absolutely loving on YouTube right now and they are JamiePaigeBeauty and Mariah Leonard. Both girls provide a no-BS guide to all things beauty and are seriously clued up on makeup. They’re like bloomin’ encyclopaedias on the stuff. Now I don’t watch much beauty-wise on the ‘Tube these days, but when these two upload a video I’m in there like swimwear immediately. Definitely worth subscribing for beauty videos with a bit of bite to them.

Now I think I read this post last week, but it made me giggle so much that I had to include it here anyway; Man Repeller’s Rules Of Style: The Hills Anniversary will tickle you if you were an L.C wannabe growing up. I always love catching up with Laura’s blog too – Buy Now Blog Later. Being such a fan of her Lollipop26 account, whenever she does a beauty favourites post it takes me back to the good ol’ days.

I’ve been following Shona Vertue on Instagram for a while, but I hadn’t checked out her blog until this week. I love her philosophy of mixing mediation with weights and yoga and would love to take one her classes one day, but it was her ‘No Whey Bae’ post that got me thinking. If anyone has any non-Whey based Protein Powder recommendations then I’m all ears. Another fitness/foodie post that’s worth a read is Self Magazine’s 11 Ways To Eat Healthy on a Budget – I nodded my head along in agreement with all 11 points.

This weekend Lily, the boys and I will be heading to Dorking to talk part in Look Good Feel Better’s #SWALK. We can’t wait to see some of there and big love for all the generous donations you’ve made to LGFB so far. Much appreciated! Here’s the link if you’d like to donate too. Fingers crossed for some sun, eh? It’s not looking likely. Time to dust off my raincoat…
