Why Oskia Rocks

IMG_8142

It’s been a long time since I shone the spotlight on my skincare shelf, but all you really need to know right now is that it’s mainly stocked-up with Oskia. I’d quite like to sum up my feelings on the matter, with just one phrase – ‘Oskia rocks‘ – however I will attempt to be more coherent on the matter…

My journey into Oskia began last year when I gave their just-been-released Renaissance Cleansing Gel a go. It was love at first pump. A light gel that transformed into oil on the skin which when muslined off left my complexion feeling clean, yet nourished. I’m now on my third bottle of the stuff and other cleansers no longer get a look in. I’m in a long term relationship with my cleanser and I couldn’t be happier. Then I remembered a mini sample of the Renaissance Mask, the predecessor of the cleanser, that I had hanging around was gathering dust in my drawers. Out it came and again, love blossomed. Natural fruit acids exfoliate the surface and reveal skin that feels noticeably softer in just 10 minutes. Sounds too good to be true, but it ain’t. I’ve since purchased the full size, a pricey purchase but one I can just about manage to justify. Heads up: I bought the cleanser and mask as part of this duo pack from Cult Beauty which shaves about 20% off the RRP.

A new addition to the Oskia crew is their Super 16 Serum. It’s still pretty fresh to my shelves, so I wouldn’t add this into HG status standing just yet, and though it looks pretty suspicious in the bottle *raises eyebrow* it’s been doing a good job of keeping up my levels of hydration. I’ll keep you posted. Speaking of hydration I’ve been using a drop or two of the Restoration Oil every night post-serum, pre-moisturiser for the past few months and it’s seriously dreamy (my descriptions can just be so scientifically accurate sometimes, eh?). There’s something spa-like about the scent, which I’m convinced helps me nod off and the texture though obviously oily initially, never feels too heavy on the skin and sinks in within a matter of minutes. Finally there’s the Get Up & Glow, that I’ve been using in the morning as the final step in my skincare and I’m convinced that it’s magical in its powers. A luminised complexion without the grease or glitter – how does it do it?! I don’t know, but what I can say is that Oskia well and truly rocks.
