….Two More Cleansers

I know, I know. The cleanser craziness continues. I mentioned a few weeks ago during my Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel musings that there were two other offerings that had pride of place on my bathroom shelf, so I though it was about time I welcomed them into the VDM-approved family. Both equally beautiful in their own complexion cleaning ways, ladies and gents meet Pai’s Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and MV Organic’s Energizing 9-Oil Cleanser*. Now let’s discuss.

As indicated in my Oskia post I use both spotlighted products for my evening cleanse. Which one I use depends on my laziness levels and skin needs. When I’m in a CBA mood and want to hurry things along as the Great British Bake Off is about to start I reach for the Pai Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. Two words to sum it up? Nourishing and convenient. The cream-like texture has a touch of Liz Earle’s Hot Cloth Cleanser about it and is used in the same way (massaged in, muslined off – as I use all my cleansers). It’s rich but not heavy and seems like the perfect choice to carry my skin through the colder months. With Omega 3 and healthy doses of Vitamins A, B and E it ticks all the right ingredient boxes. Pai – you did it again.

When I’ve got a little more time on my hands and have caught up with my TV viewing, I’ve been plumping for something luxer – MV Organic’s Energizing 9-Oil Cleanser. Oh my word. Where do I start? A rich blend of oils that when worked into the skin and rinsed off leave my cheeks baby smooth and peachy looking. Face cheeks of course. Two pumps does it and I take my time working it in; not for any particular skincare benefit, more for the fact that I don’t want it to ever stop. Ever. A full-size purchase is on the cards.

Talking of purchasing the Pai is £25 from Pai Skincare and the MV Organics, £55 from Cult Beauty – told you it was luxe, ouch. Both good, well-rounded additions to any winter skincare wardrobe.

Anna, more cleansers * raises one eyebrow*? Just joking, I’ve been hearing a lot of good things recently about MV Organics, they’re on my radar now but I just can’t bring myself to part with my merumaya cleansing balm.

I am using the Pai cleanser too at the moment and it is the perfect autumn cleanser, lol! Not too heavy but effective enough to remove all the daily grime! Smells amazing too!

  • Elise

You could make the MV cleanser youself for much cheaper. Buy the different oils indivually and make you own mix. 🙂

  • Pai seems like a good brand..haven’t tried it ever but i can see my self getting convinced post after post

I love this Pai cleanser too, so nourishing x

  • Alice Porter

I really want to try something from Pai because everyone is talking about it! I don’t mind spending that much on face products because I would probably spend that on a pair of shoes or something and I would rather have nice skin!

  • Supria

OMG your descrition of the oil cleanser… I am so getting this once my EH balm cleanser runs out 🙂

  • PeonyandPeach

They both sound really good, I might give the Pai one a try!

Adore this Pai cleanser – when my skin is congested it really clears it up – will also be reviewing soon.

I need to get my hands on a bunch of Pai stuff, its far to expensive for my student budget but I think from the reviews I’ve read they’re worth it! (see how I talk myself into these things..)

The Pai seems lovely! I know you don’t really need recommendations but I’m currently loving the Caroline Hirons-approved Ren Clarifying Clay Cleanser. Lovely, lovely product! May switch to the Pai one after reading your description, though!

  • I love Pai’s cleanser! It’s one of my favorites, especially during the winter.

  • Emma and Emily

I love the sound of both of these, especially the MV one! I love putting oils all over my face now!

After a year of searching I have found my Holy Grail cleansers: Murad Refreshing Cleanser and Murad AHA/BHA cleanser. I use both interchangeably. After buying hordes of cleansers this year, most of which I didn’t even bother to finish before they hit the bin, my search is over. LOVE <3.

I love my Pai eye cream, and the cleanser sounds right up my street! Wish I had a spare £25 though… Or £55 for that matter 😉
