Last week I had the opportunity along with Lily Pebbles to visit Ghana with Sport Relief, an amazing offer that never in my wildest dreams would I ever thought to have come my way. The trip centred around Sport Relief-funded organisations that primarily benefit women and girls to coincide with International Women’s Day on the 8th March 2014 (a date for your diaries ladies!). Where Lily and I come in is that the projects we visited aim to equip women with skills in fashion and beauty related fields; from shea butter making communities in the North, to Dressmakers in the capital and Hairdressers that double up as Beauticians, on our 3 day trip we saw them all along with the positive impact that Sport Relief donations are having on these women.
