The Cleanser That Came Through in My Time of Need

IMG_9269

If there’s one thing that drives me mad about the ridiculously awesome ‘can’t be without it’ Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel it’s that the opaque white plastic packaging makes it impossible to see when it’s about to pump out its last portion of the stuff. Of course there are the tell-tale signs – it gets light and dispensing the products gets a bit more difficult – but by then it’s usually too late, completely conked out and in the interim between me placing a Cult Beauty order and it actually arriving I have to make do with an alternative solution. Enter the Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C Skin Renew Cleansing Oil

You know what? This actually did a really good job. A orangey-scented oil that when massaged into the skin and then massaged off with a damp cloth left my skin feeling clean, not stripped and nourished, not oily. There was no residue or makeup left and my skin reacted as though the Oskia had never even left. Of course Oskia is still top dog – there’s just something about the texture that is so dreamy – but next time it pumps its last offering I won’t be firing up my laptop with one hand while muslin cloth-ing it off with the other in a hurry. So if you’re looking for a budget cleanser that’s kick ass and comes in at just over a tenner – then this bottle of Una Brennan is your guy.
