The 5 Product Face

This week I have been mostly entertaining myself listening to the Olympics, watching the Olympics and then staying up late watching re-runs of what I’ve missed Olympic-wise when I nipped out to gorge on lunch. So pretty productive then? This hasn’t left too much time to experiment with makeup – although I have been keeping my eye on Olympic beauty trends – union jack nails and hair glitter – I know what I’ll be rocking next week. So my morning routine most days has consisted of a rather measly five products which I can very easily throw on in less than five minutes. The epitome of lazy girl chic.

For base I’ve been using the most famous tinted moisturiser of them all, the Laura Mercier Oil-Free formula (full review here). I bloody love this stuff. Sheer and dewy but covering enough to hide any issues, a great Summer choice. For base the only other product I’ve had on rotation is the By Terry Touche Veloutee Concealer in 3. Some days I have popped on a bronzer and blush but most days I haven’t – like I said this is extreme lazy girl style here! I just let my natural flush pop through for a touch of colour. My brows are growing back pretty well – the benefits of having a monobrow eh. And all I’ve had to do is run a little of MAC’s Espresso eyeshadow through them to sort them out which has been very pleasing. Mascara has been the usual L’Oreal Telescopic Waterproof formula, standard! Finally I’ve been testing out a new lip product which unfortunately but rather excitingly has to stay under wraps for the moment. I’ve given you a cheeky glimpse – what a tease – and as you can see it’s one of those lipstick/gloss/balm stick hybrids. So far I like, it’s super moisturising and in a nice a neutral shade. Look out for a post on it soon…

Apologises for the Kelly Kapowski hair in the above photo – best of a bad bunch and all that. Well that was an extremely edited down post makeup wise! Perhaps next week I’ll try something a little more exotic – I’m thinking of giving this whole flicky eyeliner thing a go – madness I know! What products do you reach for on lazy days?
