Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist: The Review

IMG_0387

Jaclyn Hill is a household name round these parts. Even Mark finds himself saying ‘YAAASSSSS‘ from time to time and I often catch him chuckling at Jaclyn’s videos over my shoulder because yes, I watch her back catalogue of videos all the darn time. I can’t get enough. How she watches Friends is how I watch her videos. I take her product recommendations very seriously (case in point – I purchased two compacts of her BECCA Champagne Pop collaboration), so when she wouldn’t stop raving about the Tacha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, I went on a mission to hunt it down…

Though I couldn’t find it on my trip to L.A, Sephora now stocks it and ships it to the U.K (check here, though it’s out of stock at the time of me writing this post), and thankfully the Tatcha website is UK shipping-friendly. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait because this spritz in seriously dewy stuff. It ain’t messing around. I won’t bore you with the ingredients list (see here), but it’s a multi-tasking milky emulsion that’s designed to hydrate.

Jaclyn uses it in her videos before makeup to amp up the glow and from other reviews I’d seen this is how most people put it to work – almost like a liquid moisturiser. Others pop it on as the last step of their skincare routine and leave it at that. Personally I like this as pre-makeup hydration boost or lightly sprayed over makeup if I’m feeling really dull, but also throughout the day just to pep things up. The one thing I will say though is that less is more when it comes to this stuff. The first time I used it, I was very liberal in my application and I could feel and see it sitting on my skin. Two sprays, three at most, is all you need to do your whole face and I have a big ol’ moon-face. In a way it’s a good thing because this is pricey stuff so at least it means you won’t be repurchasing a bottle every two minutes *cough* Oribe Dry Texturising Spray *cough*. Those with a dry to normal skin will lap this up, but I’d suggest that oily skinned guys and gals steer well clear.

I will most definitely be cracking this out in the winter months when my skin starts to resemble a prune and if you travel a lot then this is a must for your suitcase – Air Hostesses listen up! Glowy skin in a bottle has arrived. Thanks for the heads up Jaclyn.
