It’s not often that I’m primping and preening for a night on the town, I’m more of a snuggled on the sofa with a face mask on kinda girl – you know me, you’ve read The Weekend Posts. But tonight the blogging community is all of a buzz as the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards will be in full swing and thanks to you guys (gives hugs) I’m up for an award. It’s in the ‘Best Beauty Vlogger’ category to be exact which is crammed full of my favourites so I’m happy to watch from afar for this one and feast on the canapés in the corner. But instead of lugging my camera and iPad around, I’m packing light for once so thought I’d show you what’s made it into my my new Whistles make-up bag turned clutch…
Boring inclusions such as keys, Blackberry, hairbands and tissues from Paperchase aside, my most exciting new addition is a matching mint green card holder from Whistles – the perfect home for my Oyster seeing as I’m a full-time Londoner now. For my face I’m keeping it simple by just having the Collection 2000 Illuminating Concealer on standby – dark circles, ruddy complexion be gone. A sample of the YSL Shocking Mascara I have hanging around and the double-ended Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Liner in Zero and Whiskey will hopefully come in handy if I fancy adding a touch of extra definition. And for lips – two choices of course, the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 02 if I want to give some gloss or the Burberry Lip Cover in Cameo – my go to ‘nude but natural’ shade. Oh and a rollerball perfume always makes the cut – Fresh Brown Sugar EDP this time.
