Messy Hair

I will admit that I like to rock the birds nest look from time to time when it comes to my hair but it’s pretty hard to get texture in it as it’s way too heavy, thick and clean (most of the time)! But ladies let me introduce you to my newest ‘got-pulled-through-a-hedge-backwards’ miracle product.

The Osis Dust It Mattifying Powder* is volume in powder form basically! It’s one of those finely milled dusts that when rubbed into the roots of your mop, changes into an almost sticky wax-like texture and makes your hair go wild (see image above for reference). I have used a few of these types of product before and this is the best I have come across; firstly when used sparingly it doesn’t leave the hair feeling too awful and the next day it can be easily brushed out. I also find it great as a hairspray almost and worked through my annoyingly floppy side fringe it makes it stay put into all it’s side swept glory. When I first got it I threw it all over my head in a salt shaker motion and perhaps was a little over zealous in my application, less it more with this dust and now I shake some out in my hands before rubbing it into my fingers and then working it into the roots and front of my hair.

Price-wise I wouldn’t say the Osis Dust It Mattifying Powder is too bad considering you need a few grains of dust for some extra oomph – you can get it from BeautyBay for £9.25. Wow things have been a bit ‘hairy’ on the blog recently! Any volumising styling product recommendations?
