Latex Lids, Lacquers and Laughs

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1) International Women’s Day. Today is International Women’s Day *dishes out love and hugs to you all*. If you haven’t already then get your peepers on my ‘Ghana Vlog with Sport Relief’ right this second and I know I’ve exhausted my ‘Girl Power’ quota for the year, so I’ll just raise a two-fingered peace sign instead.

2) Essie Lauder Nail Polish in Impassioned. Though I’ve been fighting a penchant for pastels over the past few weeks, somehow this red hot tomato shade from Estée Lauder barged its way to the top of my polish pile. Though the formula isn’t fab (a little gloopy) the colour is spot on and reminds me of the CHANEL Holiday-esque hues I go back to when the sun shows its face every year. A manicure prelude to summer if you will.

3) Maybelline Dare to Go Nude to Go Colour Tattoos. (Image from Temptalia) These shadows are arguably some of the best on the high street, so when I spotted the dish on six new additions on Temptalia I may have got a wee bit excited. Apparently limited edition, there are buff shades for all nude moods. Anyone know if they’re going to make their way to the UK?

4) Dior’s Fall ’14 Show Eye Look. (Image from Into the Gloss) Wasn’t it just stunning? A baby blue, opaque glittered, latex-layered eye that winged out to a feline shape, created by the oh-so-talented Pat McGrath. It’s a look I absolutely do not have the balls to sport myself outside the confines of my own four walls but boy I can appreciate the beauty. Kudos Pat.

5) Jouer Do Primers. The makers of undoubtedly the breakthrough tinted moisturiser formula of the past 12 months are back and this time they’re producing primers. Two formulas to be exact; an Anti-Aging Moisture Primer and an Anti-Blemish Matte Primer, the latter of which I predict to be the sell-out of the two. With the blemish buster being billed as a skincare/makeup hybrid I have to say I’m tempted. You?
