Georgia Louise Skincare

‘More skincare?’, I hear you collectively sigh. Yes more. As if I don’t have enough cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser, eye cream, face mask, treatment options already. But you see there were four reasons that when summed led to me exiting Space NK with the Georgia Louise Skincare Starter Set in tow.

The Backstory – skincare buff does good, sets up shop firstly in London, heads to New York where she currently practises and launches own line. The whole LDN to NY thing is a bit of a pipe dream for myself so when reading up on Georgia I did start to have an attack of the heart-eyed emojis.

I’m a Sucker for a Starter Set – mini try-mes are just the way to go when it comes to sampling skincare (especially those on the more pricey side). Long enough for you to eek out a few months use to see if it does the job but leaving you a little more padded in wallet. Stars come to the forefront – from the Omorovicza Starter Set the Queen of Hungary Mist shone – and those that don’t wow, don’t waste your repurchasing pennies on. Right now the Hydrating Rose Water is the front runner.

The Message – ‘natural luxe‘ is their tagline and plenty of organic laced products (the Sleeping Beauty Oil is packed with certified organic oils). Currently everything is done by hand and in small batches from formulation to putting the stickers on the bottle, and the stuff that goes inside is the high quality good stuff. Natural preservatives replace artificial ones and there’s no added fragrance.

The Line is Small – I quite like it when a brand puts a small but perfectly formed range out there. For that I expected an edited pick of the best formulas they’ve whipped up. It’s quite ballsy in a way. Four products, that’s it – nothing more, nothing less and after using the products exclusively in my evening routine for the past few weeks, so far so good.

Errrr and obviously the fact it’s one of the most beautifully packaged sets I’ve set eyes on all year contributed to its eventual purchase. £82 from Space NK. I’ll keep you posted on this one…
