My Workout Schedule & Mascara Testing

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. All edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away…

1. My Workout Schedule. For the second month in a row I’ve managed to stick to my workout schedule. Aside from the fact that seeing a personal trainer and joining a gym is expensive so I feel like I need to keep up with it just to make the financial side of it worth it, I feel like my schedule is really helping. I keep it next to my desk so I see it everyday and give myself the satisfaction of striking days off once my workout is complete (which is probably more fun than the actual workout – NERD ALERT).

2. SELF Magazine. You guys know that I’m a big fan of Women’s Health magazine. So much so that I do a little squeal when my issue arrives on my doorstep each month thanks to the subscription that my sister got me for Christmas. I read it cover to cover and in record time, so I fancied picking up another mag and found SELF magazine in the WHSmith at Victoria. Well worth a read if you too digest WH in about two days, but still need a bedtime read.

3. My Lip Balm Of The Mo. I love a good tinted lip balm. Easy to whack-on on a low-key makeup day or just to have by your bedside for a pre-sleep lip treat. Currently I’m using the revamped Lanolips Tinted Balm in Rhubarb which has the mildest of rosy tints to it, but keeps my lips feeling nice and hydrated without the extra grease that some formulas have. Just give the tube a little warm-up before you attempt to squeeze it out.

4. New From OSKIA. There are a few new things from OSKIA that have recently hit shelves and whilst I’ll be passing on the Renaissance Brightlight Intensive Pigmentation & Dark Spot Serum to my Mum, I think I’ll be keeping the Renaissance 360 Anti-Ageing & Brightening Supreme Cream for myself. It is a deliciously, non-heavy, but super rich moisturiser that my parched skin is drinking up right now. Juicy cheeks be mine!

5. Mascara Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3. One of the best things about my recent lash lift and tint (more info on that here) is that I’m finally no longer chained down to waterproof mascaras and have enjoyed being a formula flirt for the first time in a long while. I’ve given a few a go, but I think my favourite one that I’ve tested out so far is the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. It gives the illusion of big lashes quickly and isn’t too clumpy whilst delivering a big ol’ whack of volume.
