NARS’ Mega Cheek Palette & Matchy Matchy Polish

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. The NARS Mega Cheek Palette. There are new palette launches galore coming out at the moment and the NARS One Shocking Moment Palette is up there as one of the best and most dreamiest looking. Inside there’s everything for cheeks from contour, highlight, bronzer and blush and actually I’d say it’s one of their best and most handiest palette releases to date. Even Mark went ‘Wow!‘ when he saw it.

2. Taped-Up Eyeshadow. For years I have seen guys and girls apply shadow and liner with the aid of a piece of sticky tape extended out from their bottom lashline to guide the colour. I had never given it a go myself and just pictured myself with two wonky pieces of tape making the whole thing look even less symmetrical than I usually make it. Something changed the other day though and I thought I’d give it a go as I was using rusty red and potentially very messy shades and let me tell you the whole thing is genius. I’m sure I’ll show you soon. The good ol’ medical tape from our first kit has come in very handy indeed.

3. Christmas Pressie Recommendations. My Christmas Gift Guide gathering is in full-swing and with just a few items left to get for each video (an under £25 one and a go-all-out one), I’m interested to hear what you’re asking Santa for this year? Anything that just has to be included?

4. The Autumnal Red Nail Polish. You know how I mentioned MAC Chili earlier in the week? Well I have found its perfect polish partner – Deborah Lippmann’s Nail Polish in Respect? It’s a creamy brick red, with that whole antiqued, autumn-looking thing going on just like Chili. If you like matchy matchy, then you’ll love this.

5. My Dinner Party Menu. I love cooking dinner for people. Having people over and feeding them up is my pastime (yes, I am slowly but surely turning into my Mum). The thing that I don’t love though is when you spend an hour in the kitchen whilst your guests watch/feel helpless. So Mark and I have got a 3 course menu down that you can prep before everyone arrives. Genius. I’ll share it tomorrow if you fancy?
