Yin Yoga & Pretty Palettes

Five Things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. All edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away…

1. Glossier Phase 2. Glossier now do makeup and I’m just sitting here patiently waiting for them to start shipping internationally, because man, I really feel like I need Generation G and the Stretch Concealer in my life. Don’t they just look divine? A matte, but sheer lip product and a concealer that’s got an almost elastic, dewy finish formula. SOLD. I think I might be making an order for a U.S pal to ship over soon…

2. Low Key Makeup. Inspired by the Glossier Phase 2 release I’ve started to embrace ‘in-between’ makeup again. I’m an all-or-nothing kinda gal so tend to throw on a full face for a day or nothing at all, but I love the Glossier aesthetic of minimal makeup tweaks so instead have been reaching for a tinted moisturiser, concealer, brow mascara, actual mascara and then a beige-y peach colour on the lips that I also use as a cheek stain. I’ll share the specifics next week.

3. Yin Yoga. I know I mentioned the yoga videos from Madeleine Shaw’s Glow Guides app last week, but I just needed to say again how amazing the Sunday Stretch sessions are. They are based on Yin Yoga, so think stretches held for minutes long at a time. It doesn’t sound like the most riveting practice but when you’re in it, it feels kinda glorious. I’ll share some of my other favourite stretchy videos in tomorrow’s post if you fancy it?

4. The Prettiest CHANEL Palette. If you’ve seen my palette post that I popped up this week then you know I need another one like a whole in the head, but check out the Les Ombres Eyeshadow Quad in Tissé Essentiel from CHANEL’s latest drop. Isn’t it a beaut? A real ‘your lids but better’ palette that’s mostly matte, with earthy tones that wouldn’t look out of place on Olivia Palermo.

5. Apply Some Pressure. Anything that aids relaxation and sleep is always a winner in my books, so of course I’m in love with the new White Company Spa Relax Pressure Point Roll-On Oil. In fact it might just be my favourite thing that I’ve smelt from them yet. There’s a heap of lavender and peppermint in there so I reckon this would make a nice little in-flight companion too.
