When Harry Makes it Up asks to do your makeup you say yes. If you’re not familiar with Harry then you’ve just got to check out her YouTube channel. She’s a Makeup Artist extraordinaire, specialising in base perfection and feline flicks (I would seriously wear one everyday if she could do it for me each morning). The makeup look in question was a collaboration, along with Lily to celebrate the recent launch of Estée Lauder’s The Makeup Artist Collection; a swoon-inducing limited-edition kit that contains everything you need beauty-wise for the upcoming festive season from skincare to scent and lipgloss to lash plumbers. Harry created a daytime look for Lily with a hint of purple peeking through and I got to give an evening party makeup menu a go, featuring a bronze lid, nude lip and lashings of mascara.

The kit contains some real crackers including my serum favourite Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II and the Revitalizing Supreme Creme which doubles up as a great moisturiser/primer hybrid. There’s also a Deluxe Eye Palette which houses 12 eyeshadows and 2 blush shades, 3 full-size lipsticks, a full-size mascara and a tonne more.

For my night-out look Harry prepped my base and then went straight into eyeshadow, taking Rebel Metal from the Deluxe Eye Palette all over the lid which is a beautiful metallic gold that could easily be swept over the lid on its own for a speedy eye look. Then she added a bit of Ivory Power – a cool grey – smudged under my lower lashline and damped the brush before dipping it into Defiant Nude to make a rich brown eyeliner. Genius move! The texture made it so easy to apply and because of the powder finish the end result was a soft, but subtly defined flick. Then Harry coated my lashes with the Sumptuous Extreme Mascara and swept a mix of Pink Kiss and Peach Passion Blushes over my apples. Finally she popped a bit of the Pure Colour Lipstick in Rose Tea on my lips; a fab pinky brown that had a glossy finish making it a colour that will be a firm fixture in my clutch bag.

So – you want to get your hands on The Makeup Artist Collection? Well the kit is just £54 with any Estée Lauder fragrance purchase while stocks last, but to celebrate Black Friday, from 27th-29th November it will be available exclusively at Estée Lauder online for only £54 with no fragrance purchase required. YES!

Definitely one to add to your Christmas wishlists and Harry – how d’ya fancy popping round tomorrow morning and doing my eyeliner for me? You babe.
