NYE: The Night-In Edit

…tonight we’re gonna party like it’s 1999 2014. But if your definition of party means snuggling under the covers, with a face mask on while whooping along to Jools Holland (errr is that not the most perfect NYE ever?), then I have just the edit for you. From PJ’s to pampering, I have a little proposition.

THE STYLE: Personally I’d recommend the Topshop Floral Print Nightshirt with a pair of long socks and the heating ramped up to high. It’s pretty, girly and super comfy; plus it’s a rather jazzy offering making it perfect for the occasion. I’m speaking from experience here. If something warmer is required then The White Company’s Hydrocotton Hooded Robe in Smoke is my go-to. It boils you up in a matter of minutes and is just so cosy you may fall asleep in it.

THE PRODUCTS: Kick things off with a soak and scrub from REN’s Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil and Aesop’s Geranium Leaf Body Scrub to soften and smooth. Then tend to your scalp with some kind of nourishing oil; I’m a fan of the Shiffa Invigorating Hair Oil that rebalances and refreshes the roots. Just massage in, then whip your locks into a bun. For skincare get it rolling with Omorovicza’s Thermal Cleansing Balm, which gently cleanses and leaves the complexion fully prepared for a mask moment. Right now I’m loving the Borghese Fango Active Mud Mask; blackheads, blemishes and general blah-ness be gone. Finally, let your face be nourished by Kate Somerville’s Goat Milk Cream and your body by Origin’s Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream, which smells so good you’ll have a hard time not to lick the lid of the tub. You’ll be feeling fab by the time Auld Lang Syne comes on.

If your NYE looks like it’s going to be more banging then it may be worth perusing yesterday’s post and if something more quiet is on the cards then check back round these parts later today. I may have something for you…
